I need to stop watching these trailers because I would get my hopes up to see it, then I remember that it isn't sowing in the movie theatre, I don't have time to watch it, and it would be hard to find. Okay the beginning almost made me cry whenever i see things like that i get so much anxiety that i start crying even if it only lasts 20 seconds.

I honestly want this song to be played at my funeral. Even now that it's been so long since I've watched this movie every single time I listen to this song it makes me want to cry so bad T.T. Art is Dead. I thought Song of the Sea or Princess kaguya might have won. When I watched this with my friends I was like- WHY DID YOU PICK SUCH A GOOD MOVIE. oh and i was crying. Its a great sadness that Isao Takaha has passed away, because his wonders of thought and imagination will no longer see the light of the day but never the less he has left this plane with wonderful pieces of arts that will remain in Japanese history books as a memento of their unwitting pacifist nature and embracement to cultural progress.

One of the oldest folktales in Japan is the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, the story of Kaguya Hime, the Bamboo Princess. Discovered inside a stalk of bamboo by a bamboo cutter and raised as a beautiful child, the Bamboo Princess was never completely of this world. She longed for her real Heavenly place of origin, and her eyes filled with tears whenever she gazed at the full moon, which is also a symbol of Truth in Japanese legend. In the story 5 princes seek her hand in marriage, but not wanting to marry in this world, she presents each of them with a task to bring her something so rare and genuine that it is almost impossible to obtain. The stone begging bowl of the Buddha, a jeweled branch from the island of Hourai, the legendary robe of the fire rat in China, a colored jewel from a dragon's neck, and a swallow's seashell treasure. The princes fail one after another by attempting to deceive the Princess with a fake substitute. The princess wants the real thing, so hard to find in this world. Eventually she even turns down an offer of marriage from the Emperor of Japan, and returns to the Moon from where she came. You can enjoy this story in a wonderful animated film produced by Studio Ghibli and released in 2013, Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kaguya. Watching the stream of news about deceptions and fake substitutes for the sake of profit at other people's expense would be seem to be enough to keep the Bamboo Princess from ever coming back. These deceptions are scandalous because they are being perpetrated by people including doctors, retailers, food manufacturers, and banks, people who you would hardly suspect of being the scum of society. And yet often as not, they are doing it purely for profit, for as long as they can get away with it, without any regard for the dangerous consequences of their deceptions for unsuspecting consumers. Under the circumstances, it would appear that business people and professionals could do with a little moon gazing. Here is a poem composed in response to this article, by my friend Hugh Purser. The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter tells us this, That as he cut though the stalk he found true bliss, A beautiful child he uncovered inside, Whom he then raised as his daughter, filled with pride. Bamboo Princess came from a heavenly place, She longed for home as she gazed on the moons face; Princes came from afar to seek her hand, Instead she gave them all a task to land. Something rare and genuine they must obtain Before her lifelong partnership they could gain; Old Buddhas bowl, a jeweled branch from Hourai isle, Perhaps the Fire Rats robe, would make her smile. Or maybe the swallows treasured seashell Or a precious gem from the dragons lapel; But none could find the original one, And proffered only a copy, or none. Surrogates were delivered to her side, The real thing just too hard to find worldwide; To the Emperors offer she turned her back; To the silver sphere travelled a hurried track. The moral of the tale we should take care, Makoto means truth, sincerity: its rare; The news is full of headlines of deceit Stories of fakes and substitutes repeat. To all those perpetrators of these crimes And all of us, yes, taken in sometimes, Gaze on the moon tonight, dont do less, Remember the Tale of Bamboo Princess. Its the Japanese version of Thubalina. Except shes Sailor Moon. Right off the bat, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya" arrest you with its gorgeous animation; a watercolor storybook. But the movie's beauty lies also in its music, innocence and supernatural folktale. You're not ready for that one-two punch of love and sorrow in the third act. It's an emotional ending and the movie doesn't let any of this on until the very end when your defenses are down.
Which isn't to say that the point of the movie is to tug at heartstrings It's an exquisite story about innocence, the prison of expectation and a sense of identity. Any sentimentality here comes about organically. It's just one of those things that sneaks up behind you and hits you where you live.

Wats the theme in this trailer called. The story is kinda plane ✈️ Geddit. Why wasn't this song nominated for best music at the oscars, but the song from When Marnie was there was, only because it's in English? This one is far better. Let me say this. Disney old films were fabulous. Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, etc. BUT THOSE MOVIES AND THE MOVIES THEY CREATE NOW, are NOTHING compared to Miyazaki. Miyazaki has the heart of imagination and he will be my idol forever. I will support him no matter what, and I don't care if the song in Frozen was good. The imagination involved is NOTHING compared to Miyazaki's films. nuf said.
