It's been about a month since I decided to watch the train wreck from a safe distance rather than be part of it quit FFBE. Figured I'd give an update. It's going to be in the style of an interview because that's clearly a sensible approach. Have you missed FFBE? Nope. Not in the slightest. There were no withdrawal symptoms or anything. I don't even think about FFBE unless I'm on Reddit. It was surprisingly easy to let it go once I decided to quit. I didn't get the urge to pick the game back up until recently when Bahamut 2-star was released. The feeling was short lived as I knew that alone wasn't worth coming back for. (Fuck you Gumi for delaying Bahamut 2-star so long) So you still visit the FFBE subreddits? The blog; yes, almost daily. I don't have much to shitpost about anymore so mostly lurk. I did finally update the sidebar! I should probably add the new GL units to the flairs considering all the hype. The main sub; not really. Only if comments in the blog suggest that there's drama/outrage worth checking out. The meme sub; hardly ever visited it even when I was playing. No reason to visit anymore. Has your sleeping pattern improved? Maybe? My sleeping pattern is notoriously bad. As a kid I had insomnia. Whilst I don't have it anymore, I still find it difficult to go to sleep or wake up at a sensible time. If it weren't for having to go to work people would mistake me for a vampire. When I was playing FFBE seriously I likely slept less than before but it did help me get up in the morning somewhat regularly (gotta use those orbs! ). After I went casual I probably slept about the same amount as before I played, but more erratically. I'm probably sleeping more now although that might be because I had time off work over Christmas which seriously messed with my sleeping pattern. I feel more rested at least. I think I'll need more time to work out what quitting FFBE has done to my sleep. What have you been doing with your new found free time? Hard to say. I usually had FFBE running in the background on my PC. I would play it whilst doing other things; checking emails, watching Youtube, surfing Reddit etc. I rarely focused specifically on playing FFBE. I do feel like I have one less thing to think/worry about which is great. But you must have replaced FFBE with another game right? Yes! About a month before I dropped FFBE I actually started playing Spiral Knights again. For those that don't know, it's a free game on Steam. You run around dungeons with other players online, think Zelda 4 Swords. I used to play it back in 2011 and recently found out it still exists. I opened the game to see if my account was still there and it was! Someone instantly noticed I was an old player (5-star equipment but had the lowest possible rank since ranks didn't exist back in 2011), gave me an update on everything that's changed and invited me to their awesomely named guild: Sexy Knights. I played that for about two months and have basically quit again since I've done all the 'new' content that doesn't require shit-tons of farming. The current time-limited helmet everyone wants requires fighting a rare enemy that has a 1/90 chance of appearing in place of a specific type of regular enemy. When you kill it there's a 1/250 chance of it dropping an item required to get the helmet. Most people will farm for the duration of the event and not get the helmet. ¬_¬ Two days ago I started FFXIII-2. About time considering I bought it many years ago. Enjoying it so far although the monster taming odds are already annoying me (yea, I hate farming). I expect to be thoroughly confused by the time-travelling aspect of it. I'll let Tom review the game when he inevitably plays it as research for the PPD. But you originally downloaded FFBE because you wanted a game to play whilst pooping, right? Yes. Obviously I don't play Spiral Knights or FFXIII-2 whilst growing a monkey tail. I now play a puzzle game instead. So no gacha games then? Fuck no, I'm not playing another gacha game again now that I know how they work. Any last words? Stay sexy. Wait, wrong game. Back in my day, 100 lapis for a dollar was a good deal.

My faith in dark comedy (and it's benefits) is mildly restored 😏. So this is my first REAL no cheats fully survival world in a VERY long time. Ive been learning alot, watching videos and finally bit the bullet and went for it. So far im having a BLAST. I play about 3 ish hours every night after work. In the beginning I was afraid of creepers and mobs, thats why its all built off the ground, but now im actually really god at combat. the only deaths in this world really, was from building the slime farm, fell about 2-3 times. But as you can see ive made long above ground tunnels to avoid mobs before i got better at fighting. But i decided to stick with the tunnels just for convenient travel in mine carts. Im not much of a builder yet, but im getting better. Plus i hate building roofs with out flying. I would have made MANY more cool builds by now, but the nearest jungle biome with bamboo for scaffolding is a few thousand blocks away, but that the next journey. But anyway, ive very proud of my base so far. Let me know what you think. The Middle bit is the main base and mob grinder. The Storage room, at ground level. With a Pond room. And the strip mine entrance (its over 300 blocks long and 200 on each side of the shaft) The Enchanting Room just aside the main Storage room. Turning around, this is the Netherwart farm and First Bee farm, and Potion Brewing station. Brewing Station Very first bee farm area. (Chig is my little sisters pet name from when she was little) (ps, note the nicolas cage reference haha) had a good laugh at that) The Very first Bee Farm room. Love this peaceful place. A calming room. In the main base, the meat farm. (i dont like factory farming one bit minecraft haha) The cow feed farm just next to the meat farm. The Light house spiral staircase entrance is thru the middle left bit, and behind that is the horse farm, which need MAJOR renovations. The Wool and sheep farm. (accidentally killed the Jeb sheep:[ gonna make another as a pet in the main storage area) oh and the automatic fish farm on the left. On the roof, the XP potato farm. Using villagers, the potatoes go thru hoppers into a smoker and baked potatoes out, grab a stack and get about 5-15 levels usually. but its a drain on my coal and charcoal reserves. :[ What the potato farm looks like on the two floors The light house. I havent been to the end yet but this was built as an elytra jumping off point with the 4 rooms. A fun build to get rid of my many stacks of granite and diorite. I think it looks quite nice for garbage blocks. A hey powered campfire at the top to help find my way. (one day will be a beacon) Off to the far right of the first image, the slime farm mini base. The slime farm. This took 3 days to dig out, (mind you i have a busy job and a wife so, took some time) But i know slim farms need access to sky so, hence the glass. Its not finished AT ALL but thats the current project im working on. The villager breeder, off to the far left of the first screen shot. Makes more villagers than i know what to do with. But glad i have it. Even if it makes so many babies they die off ill always have a steady supply. Also, to be clear, NONE of the farms here are my design. I just watch youtube and do my best. Took a while to actually make it all work. know how TF there are two farmers, i, somehow the blacksmith fell thru? idk, wasnt this way a day ago, oh well. And finally the 100 block water way leading baby villagers away from the beds. took FOREVER to make. at least 3 days. but worth it.
